Besides, since the system is quite close in terms of distance, loss through transmission is extremely low.

Here, an industrial area is turned to an area for mixed use. The primary idea behind is to lower carbon emissions by a hefty 89% from current average. Like Hudson Yards, it uses smart grid to utilize stored power and defer energy use that is not immediately required.
